Abs light on chevy silverado.
Open the hood of the Silverado and loosen the nut on the negative battery lace clamp. You can do this with a 10 mm wrench. Slip the clamp off the negative side of the battery and await about five heartbeats. Put the clamp back in place and stretch the nut. Look on the dashboard to make sure the ABS light has turned off.
Other than that, the brakes work fine, and the ABS also seems to respond normally when the light is off. The light will also toggle when I hit bumps on the road too. In this video I remove and replace the ABS sensor due to a rat chewing on the wires, it's pretty easy to do.
Yesterday I turned over the truck and the ABS, Traction Control, and StabiliTrak issues were displayed across the dashboard menu screen. Now I have the ABS and Traction Control lights on. I checked the fuses box but do not see any blown fuses. What would cause this issue(s) to come on all of a sudden.
