I like to look through peoples bookmarks and if I see that they have hundreds, then I know I’m not going to find anything interesting. Unless it’s a rec or the person has less than 100 bookmarks (really less than 50 is more like it) I figure they bookmark everything.

It's not really a necessary fear since I only rate on calibre and I make all my bookmarks private anyway, but I'm over-cautious about not giving authors any reason to hate me.
