Hey all! Anothjer build question from me. Trying out a Cavalier build - the charge is absolutely devestating! Was wondering though, what other bonuses does mounted combat provide? I have swapped builds because I found the Aldori Defender / Swordlord build I asked about before to be a bit boring(!?) Apologies if people love those classes though!

Donnicton Oct 7, 2021 @ 2:10pm. I'm playing gnome cavalier right now (with first three levels in Divine Hunter for Leopard mount) - you won't be able to mount Aivu until like mythic 5 as a gnome, probably much later as a medium race. But the main problem is Aivu can't use bardings, her dex is not great, she doesn't benefit from most class ...Fauchard, great axe or shield bashing is probably the most damage. Challenge is not an especially strong ability, and ...So 5 levels of Mutation Warrior, 6 or 12 levels of Sohei + maybe Beast Rider to get a non-horse pet. Maybe adding a level of demonslayer there somewhere. Going full cavalier would probably be even better in the long run, but I'm not so interested in charging this time. What would be other ways to maximize damage output when dual wielding scimitars?

For those not in the know, the only reason Cavalier is even considered good is BECAUSE of the Lance. Nah, cavalier is good in tabletop because of Disciple of the Pike.

Good advice on the basic needs above. An option without mythic finesse. 1. Arcane enforcer with mage armor exploit so you can pump dex and use archmage armor and martial proficiency. 2 - 4. Knife master to get 1d8 sneak damage and finesse training with kukri at level 4 for dex to damage.Cavalier is another good option. Ember's outlook goes well with an angel of mercy, and it's near impossible to botch her build, either as a fire blaster or as an enchanter. Aru can cover ranged DPS and trickery. After that, you could take whoever you want, as all the basics are covered. 3.They let you add DEX damage with finessable weapons that you’ve taken weapon focus on. I find myself often switching battle modes to fix bugs and it’s annoying as hell.Ideal Race: Half-orc, for inherent skills like Orc Ferocity. Best Subclass: Primal Druid or Elemental Rampager for the increased melee damage abilities. Important Ability Scores: After Wisdom, this Druid needs points in Consitution and Strength to retain their effectiveness in melee combat.

I'm trying to wrap my head around what a fun mounted combat build would be. I'm thinking of Cavalier beast rider up to 5 to get spirited charge and boon companion, then pick up 4 levels of bloodrager bloodrider to gain the benefits of bloodrage. After that would likely take cavalier the rest of the way. Thoughts? This DEX-based build will dish out 20-25% less DPS even with you getting DEX-to-damage. This is mainly because Wrath has more STR boosts than DEX boosts, but also because you lose out on 1.5x strength bonus and must use subpar weapons. Just want to make sure you're aware of that and accept lower DPS as a sacrifice you're willing to …EDIT: Another very strong melee EK build is Monk (Scaled Fist) 1/Bard 8/Fighter 1/Eldritch Knight 10, you give the Shattered Defenses feat to all of your martial characters and as a Bard you use Dirge of Doom to make all of your enemies Shaken so you can hit them as if they were flat-footed. So i realized than the best way to make Regill a tank is giving him a mount, and no better class for a mount than Cavalier. I found out CRPG-Bro build about turning him into a Gerdarme, but i think that is a blasphemy since the class literally says in its descriptions that Gendarmes don´t give a fuck about tactics and ...
